G6 Tournament: Aduana beat Hearts to win gold
Aduana Stars defeated Hearts 4-3 on penalties to win this year’s GHALCA G6 Tournament at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Two saves from Aduana’s goalkeeper Joseph Addo steered Yussif Abubakar’s side to victory on the night.
Patrick Razak’s first-half goal was cancelled out by substitute Nathaniel Asamoah to end the regulation time in a 1-1 stalemate.
Godfred Saka scored the last penalty despite veteran Bernard Don Bortey scoring to hand a glimmer of hope into Hearts’ campaign.
This is the first time the ‘Ogya’ lads have won this tournament after placing second last season to Kotoko.
Hearts picked silver whiles Kotoko took the bronze medal on the night.
