The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled its flagship policy to revitalize Ghana’s tourism and creative arts sectors, known as the BlackStar Experience.
This initiative, crafted to elevate the visibility and growth of these vital industries, was formally presented by NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama during a special engagement with key players from the creative arts sector in Kumasi.
In his address, Mr. Mahama emphasized that the BlackStar Experience aims to transform Ghana into a top destination for arts, culture, and tourism by investing in infrastructure, providing financial support, and creating platforms that showcase the nation’s rich cultural heritage.
He highlighted how this policy will support artists, musicians, filmmakers, and other creatives while attracting international tourism and investment.
Mr. Mahama noted that the BlackStar Experience would celebrate Ghana’s unique identity on the global stage, boosting the local economy, creating jobs, and empowering creatives to expand their work beyond Ghana’s borders.
This ambitious initiative is a cornerstone of the NDC’s broader vision to foster economic growth through culture, heritage, and innovation.
