Former Black Stars midfielder Emmamuel Agyemang Badu believes the Black Stars are in difficulty because majority of the players are not familiar with the terrain.
Ghana’s dip in form has culminated in back to back African Cup of Nations (Afcon) Tournament without a win. Their recent struggles has yielded paltry two points from four matches in the 2025 Afcon qualifiers, leaving them on the verge of missing out on the tournament for the first time in 20 years.
Emmanuel Agyemang Badu on Ahotor “Agor)kansie” attributed Black Stars poor form to the lack of players who are used to the culture and rudiments of Ghana football.
“Most of our players are suppose to come from the U-20.I think Desmond Offei is now working to get us a formidable group. We have been compelled to go in for players who do not understand our culture, about 94% of the current Black Stars player do not know too much about our terrain. Due to this, they struggle with the least pressure”
The Black Stars are up against Angola on Friday, 15th November 2024. In three days time they will face Niger in the final round of the 2025 Afcon qualifiers.
Ghana must win their last two matches and hope Sudan lose their remaining two matches in order to secure qualification.
