Former Black Stars player, Charles Taylor has commended Otto Addo for dropping Thomas Partey from his 25 man squad.
On Tuesday 7th November, 2024 Black Stars head coach Otto Addo amnounced his 25 man squad for upcoming Afcon qualifiers against Angola and Niger. To the dismay of the press and fans captain Thomas Partey was left out. His absence has generated a lot of controversies.
Former Black Stars player Charles Taylor has reacted to Partey’s omission. In an interview on Ahotor Agokansie Charles Taylor applauded Otto Addo for leaving Partey out. He believes the player disrespected Ghana by not turning up for assessmet following his purpoted illness which ruled him out of match ups against Sudan and Niger.
“The likes of Mbappe and Kobby Mainoo reported to their various national teams for assessment yet Partey declined Ghana’s offer. Are the medics in the Black Stars not human beings. Partey disrespected Ghanaians by not showing up”
Jordan Ayew will captain the team in Partey’s absence against Angola and Niger on November 15th and 18th respectively.
