Coach Aboubakar Ouattara and his boys put up an impressive performance against Medeama SC at the Tarkwa TNA Sports Stadium on match week 9 of the 2024/2025 Gpl season. Against all odds, Hearts of Oak recorded a 2-0 win over Medeama SC.
The away side kept it tight at the back and complemented play with long kicks in launching attacks. Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare was at the heart of both goals. His accurate long balls tormented Medeama’s defence all evening. Kwabena Boateng broke the deadlock from close range by tapping Hamza Issah’s goal bound effort.
Mawuli Wayo put the game beyond the reach of the home side with a thumping header in the 88th minute. Medeama despite dominating possession were profligate. The biggest culprit was striker Diawisie Taylor.
Hearts have jumped to 7th in the table with 12 points while Medeama remain in third place with 15 points from 9 matches. Salim Adams was adjuged as the MVP of the game.
