Ghanaian upcoming Afrobeats singer, Julian Phamous has appealed to Music Authorities to give them a chance to meet investors like A-list artistes.
In an Interview with Obaapa Janee on ‘Ahotor mmre’ show on Ahotor FM in Accra, on Friday 20th October 2023, he emphasizes that upcoming musicians should be given a chance to meet investors.
He added that the system is not working, though MUSIGA is doing its best, still they should also give a chance to up-and-coming musicians to see investors when they arrive in the country, and they should introduce them too.”
”They should give a chance to the up-and-coming, is not all about the A-list artistes. Like when investors come they should expose the up-and-coming to the investors as well because they always sell the A-list artists than us,” he said.
‘’ Because some of the up-and-coming are more talented than some of the A-list artistes because I never knew people were talented till I entered the studio and I saw that people are really talented, and some of the A-list on the record labels are not talented.’’
Moreover, when Music Authorities and A-list musicians go on tour, they should send some of them along too.
He is out with his new single ”Bad Mind”, he was on the show to promote it. According to him, people always judge you by your appearance and forget to ask why you are in that state.
He shared his encounter where his looks for a movie role made him have some kind of hairstyle which made people think that he was mad. And that motivated the title of the song.
Lastly, he said people are supposed to get closer to people and ask them why they are in that state they are in, before judging them.
‘’Bad Mind’’ is out on all digital platforms. He added that he would love to have ‘Bad Mind ‘remix with veteran musician, Samini Daagati.
