The past eight years under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia have brought unprecedented challenges to our nation. Rather than progressing, Ghana has regressed significantly, losing ground economically and facing a junk status credit rating.
This stark reality is a far cry from the promise of prosperity that was sold to us during the elections of 2016 and 2020. Dr. Anthony Sorkpah, Communications Officer for NDC Insight, stated, “This year’s elections are a reckoning for the rampant lootings, scandals, inflated contracts, nepotism, and misappropriation of state funds that have plagued our nation.

*NDC Insight Declares December 7, 2024, Judgment Day for Ghana: A Call to Action for a Second Independence*
Accra, Ghana – NDC Insight proudly declares December 7, 2024, as Judgment Day for Ghana—a pivotal moment for our nation’s future and an opportunity for a Second Independence. As we approach this critical election, we urge all Ghanaians to come out in massive numbers to vote for John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to reset and rebuild our beloved country.
Dr. Anthony Sorkpah, Communications Officer for NDC Insight, stated, “This year’s elections are a reckoning for the rampant lootings, scandals, inflated contracts, nepotism, and misappropriation of state funds that have plagued our nation.”
The NPP government is acutely aware of its failures, which is why they are resorting to desperate measures to manipulate the electoral process. Recent actions demonstrate a troubling bias within the Electoral Commission, further eroding the trust of the Ghanaian people. However, despite these obstacles, the NDC stands resolute, equipped, and ready to lead our nation toward a brighter future.
These are indeed painful and heartbreaking times for Ghanaians. The leaders we entrusted with our resources have betrayed our trust through corruption and negligence. Under the NPP, Ghana has witnessed an alarming rise in scandals, including the PDS scandal, the Agyapa deal, inflated federal contracts, and the ongoing galamsey crisis. The people of Ghana suffer under a heavy burden of economic hardship, oppressive taxes, and a complete lack of accountability.
The reality is that many Ghanaians are struggling to make ends meet while the government engages in rampant corruption. The recent scandals have shown that the NPP has prioritized personal gain over the welfare of the people. We must ask ourselves: Is this the Ghana we envisioned when we cast our votes? The answer is a resounding no. Ghanaians deserve better.
As we approach Judgment Day, we must remember that this election is not merely about choosing a leader; it is about reclaiming our dignity and our future. We cannot reward this administration’s deceit any longer. Ghana needs a reset, and only John Dramani Mahama and the NDC can provide the experienced and steady leadership required to address these pressing issues from day one.
NDC Insight calls on all Ghanaians to reject the corruption, looting, and propaganda that have become synonymous with the NPP government. Let us stand together for truth, development, and accountability. We urge you to come out and vote massively on December 7, 2024, for a new beginning—a new dawn for Ghana.
In unity, we can rebuild Ghana. In solidarity, we can reclaim our future. Together, let us make December 7, 2024, a day of hope, change, and empowerment for every Ghanaian.
