MUSIGA CALLS FOR MORE PERFORMANCE VENUES
The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is calling for the creation of more performance venues in the country to allow musicians to practice their craft.
According to the union, Such a development will enable our musicians to perform more regularly to improve their revenues and also afford the general public the opportunity to enjoy live music performances.
As we celebrate World Music Day after, also known as Fête de la Musique, which is an annual celebration that promotes the power of music and its universal language let’s be mindful about what the day stands for. It’s been noted that the day encourages musicians of all genres to perform in public spaces, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for people to enjoy music worldwide. It is a day when musicians and music lovers from around the world come together to perform and enjoy various genres of music on this special day.
It is in that regard that MUSIGA is calling on the government to fast-track the construction of the five amphitheaters across the country which were begun last year.
As Ghana woes the global diaspora with the ‘Beyond the Return’ agenda, avenues for our musicians and performers to showcase their talents will be a huge boost for the agenda.
Finally, the Union would like to applaud all our musicians and performers who have been serenading and encouraging us with their uplifting music and lyrics. Ayekoo!
Thank you.
