Ghanaian gospel musician, Obaapa Christy reveals that she kept quiet on her divorce because of what the highlife legendary Daddy Lumba said to her, concerning her divorce from Pastor Love.
Obaapa Christy said she was braiding her hair in a saloon at Sofoline (Kumasi) when one of the hairdressers told her a visitor was waiting for her outside.
According to Obaapa Christy, Daddy Lumba paid her the surprise visit just to express his love and admiration for her unmatched musical talent.
She initially thought it was an old friend or one of her fans –who decided to come and meet her and exchange pleasantries but to her utmost surprise, it was Daddy Lumba.
Going deep into the conversation that transpired between them, she also revealed that at one point, the popular musician threatened to “BEAT HER” if she ever responded to conversations around her then “unsuccessful marriage”.
The gospel songstress added that she still considers this to be one of the happiest and most unforgettable days of her entire life.
She further expressed her gratitude to Daddy Lumba in an interview. Obaapa Christy ended the discussion by promising to always treat Daddy Lumba with great respect, describing their encounter as one of the most priceless moments she has ever experienced.
