Kojo Nhyira, a member of the Greater Accra regional communication team for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for its handling of Ghana’s mineral resources.
Speaking on Property Daybreak with Anigye Hene Abeiku Yamoah, Nhyira emphasized that developed countries thrive due to their effective utilization of natural resources.
He urged Ghanaian leaders to prioritize national interests when managing these resources, such as gold, manganese, and diamonds, which often have fluctuating prices.
Nhyira advocated for reserving these resources to secure better prices in the future, thereby boosting the country’s coffers and supporting development.
Nhyira also called on Ghanaians to vote for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming December 7 elections, asserting that the NDC has a proven track record under Mahama’s leadership in managing natural resources effectively.
