Managing Director of the Volta Aluminium Company Limited (VALCO), Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus- Glover says the vice president Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia was voted to lead the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) because of his competence.
According to him, Dr Bawumia has the competence, the capacity to break the 8 for NPP.
Sharing ideas on the upcoming December 7 general elections, the former Member of Parliament for Tema East constituency said the involvement of the vice president has shifted the politics of the north.
According to Titus-Glover, the perception and the mindset of the people in the five northern blocks has change because of the influence of Dr Bawmia and the 57 seats in the block are shifting the elephant party.
He indicated that, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama is shaking because the vote is going to be divided in the north in favor of the NPP.
“Politics is played with numbers and the numbers are favoring the NPP in the northern region” he added.
