For the UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year award, Pep Guardiola, Simone Inzaghi, and Luciano Spalletti have made the final shortlist.
A UEFA study committee created a preliminary list of candidates, which was presented to all club managers who participated in the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League as well as national team coaches from UEFA member nations. Voting for oneself was prohibited for managers.
A select group of journalists were also invited to vote.
After leading Manchester City to victories in the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League, and defeating Inzaghi’s Inter in the latter, Guardiola is the early favorite to win the award.
Spalletti, whose Napoli team dominated Serie A last season, rounds off the shortlist. To spend more time with his family, the Italian resigned from his position after receiving the trophy.
The other coaches who made the Top 10:
4. Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton)
5. Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)
6. Zlatko Dalic (Croatia)
7. Jose Luis Mendilibar (Sevilla)
8. Didier Deschamps (France)
9. David Moyes (West Ham)
10. Franck Haise (Lens)
