Kyebi Habitat wins the Akwansra gala.
Nana Asiedu Bekoe the Akwansrahene of the Akyem traditional council organized a gala to celebrate his second anniversary of becoming the Akwansrahene for the Council.
The players in each team were youth and they came from towns like Asiakwa, Asi Kam, Pano, Apapam, kyebi, and Habitat where his B-pub is located.
The chief was excited about the organization of the event and shared his thoughts.
“Am very delighted because it is exactly two years since l was enstooled as the Akwansra hene of Akyem, it was during Easter. l decided to organize a gala to foster unity among the youth in my area, and l was supported by my brother Kakyira Empire and my friends and Nana Baah.”
Kyebi town and Habitat were the teams who went to the final, and Habitat won the game by one nill, the goal was scored in the first half which was a penalty. The second-placed team went home with a set of jerseys, one ball, and five hundred Cedis, both jerseys were customized with the name Akwansrahene. The second-placed team also went home with a set of jerseys, two balls, and one thousand Ghana Cedis.
He advised the youth to stay away from drugs and robbery.
“As l speak we have police regional headquarters at Kyebi,l have been working with the police since they came to eradicate criminal activities like sniffing cocaine, smoking weed, and all kinds of drug abuse, and this has helped reduced this criminal activity”, he concluded.
