In the wake of hyper-transfer dealings, Afriyie Acquah has joined the first-of-the-table Iraqi side Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya for the rest of the season.
The deal also comes with an option for a further extension, depending on how he performs on the field of play.
The former Empoli and Torino midfielder had his reasons for joining the Iraqi Premier League heavyweights and will be available to make his debut for the Falcons from next week.
Acquah will be relieved that he has found a new club as he has been without a club since Saudi side Al Batin released him after the 2021/22 season.
