According to Ghanaian sound engineer Appiah Dankwah a.k.a Appietus says there are laws governing this country and the people in it.
So if a musician breaches a contract with a label, it is the law that has to deal with the person and not an individual, a group or media houses.
He has joined veteran artiste like Amandzeba Nat Brew, to rubbish suggestions by some entertainment pundits that Black Sherif should be black listed for going against the contract he had with his management.
“I believe we should allow the law to deal with the issue because both parties have binding contracts. If there is any fallout, it is the court that decides and no one else”, he said.
Reacting to the same issue, Emmanuel Barnes known as Mr. Logic said any musician who breaches contract with his investor or manager must be blacklisted by the industry people, so they learn a lesson from that.
“The industry needs to start learning this loyalty by having a barricade else these young ones will drive all investors away.
“I know a lot of mangers who are no more in business because a musician accused them of stealing their monies.
It is about time we protect these investors”, he said it on day break hitz show.
