Hasaacas Ladies coach Yusif Basigi, has said that he will not underrate any side after being drawn in Group A of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The WAFU Zone B champions have been pitted against hosts Wadi Degla, AS Mande, and Malabo Kings in that group.
“It really is not easy when you are in a group with Mali, Equatorial Guinea and the host Egypt because Mali’s national team is home based and not too many plying their trade in the diaspora. Remember Mali knocked us out when we hosted the African Women Championship ( AWCON).
“Equatorial Guinea was the first nation to break Nigeria’s dominance on the continent and must be truly feared. As for Egypt, they have their fans behind them since they’re the host”.
When asked on which of the group is the toughest, Basigi said;
“I can confidently say our group is the toughest. I’m surprised people are still making cases for Nigeria and South Africa, yes, but we have played Nigeria twice and it 1-1 wins, but we won the ultimate”.
The former Black Queens coach indicated that he has no information on the clubs paired against in the group hence he has requested for videos to watch them and is confident his team will make Ghana proud.
“My girls are confident we will make Ghana and the Western Region proud.I am appealing to companies, individuals to come to our aid because it really is not easy”.
Hasaacas Ladies will begin their campaign against Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea before taking on AS Mande and Wadi Degla.
In Group B, runners up in the WAFU Zone B River Angels from Nigeria will face Vihiga Queens FC of Kenya, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and ASFAR Club of Morocco.
