16 year old boy allegedly burns a dormitory at Accra Academy

A 16-year-old student has reportedly burned down a dormitory at Accra Academy.

Reports indicate that the teenager (name withheld) poured petrol over some personal effects in one of the dormitories and set it ablaze while his mates were out.

The fire burnt everything in the dormitory and extended to other dormitories in the house. Some students who had not gone to class to study had to run from the dormitory for their lives.

At least 3 rooms were razed down in the newly renovated dormitory.

It’s unclear as to why the young boy committed the arson while his mates were studying.

Reports indicate he is in the grips of the police while investigations have been launched into the matter.
