A disturbing report reaching the desk of Ahotoronline.com from Asankragua indicates that DSP Azugu, a police officer who gain popularity for notoriety during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections has led to a team of National Security operatives into Asankragua and its environs terrorising residents and drivers at the area.
Speaking to Hon. Eric Afful, MP for Amenfi West Constituency on Ahotor92.3 fm show monitored by Ahotoronline.com, he confirmed the incident and added DSP Azugu and a team of National Security operatives are currently on rampage in his constituency harassing residents by engaging in unlawful searches and confiscation of items and cash from drivers and residents. According to him the police chief for the area was sacked when he attempted to enquire into their operations.
” Azugu is leading a teaming of tag- less National Security operatives , stealing monies and seizing properties from drivers and residents through unlawful search, nobody knows what they are looking for, not even the police commander for the area, he was sacked when he attempted to enquire.” He confirmed.”
Hon.Eric Afful indicated he would be meeting the National Security minister and file official complaints about the incident.
