The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Hon Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has described the Akufo-Addo led govt as a talkshop, that’s only interested in empty rhetorics with no solution to address the challenges confronting Ghanaians.
Speaking to Citizen Kofi on Ahotor92.3 morning show, Chairman Ampofo indicated that President Akuffo Addo is never committed to the fight against galamsey, what he does best is just talk.
According to him, the many appointees of the president figured in galamsey deals and others caught on tape engaging in illegal mining activities, have all been left off the hook by the president.
He indicated that, the words of the president cannot be taken serious anymore because he has demonstrated nothing but insincerity and double standards on galamsey fight.
He therefore made a clarion call on the president to admit failure in the fight against galamsey and apologise to Ghanaians for forgiveness and then approach the NDC for its comprehensive policy guidelines on galamsey.
“We have a blueprint on galamsey, portions of it were captured in our manifesto, if the president wants our inputs, he must first admit failure and apologise to Ghanaians, we will be ready to assist him with our blueprint on galamsey. At this point, it’s clear his govt has crashed , has no ideas on how to resolve what has become a terrible legacy of the Akufo-Addo led govt.”
Chairman Ampofo scolded the Akuffo Addo govt for being interested in talk talk talk, with no proper plan to address the numerous challenges facing Ghanaians.
