SAD NEWS! Ivory Coast loses FA boss.
Ivory Coast Football Federation (FIF) President Augustin Sidy Diallo has been confirmed dead on Friday November 20, 2020 after battling covid 19.
The news was confirmed by FIF First vice president Sory Diabite on Saturday afternoon.
Sidy, 61, has been in charge of the West African country’s football since 2011 succeeding Jacques Onouma .
This is a big blow to Ivorians and the second time a prominent figure has died due to covid 19.
In July this year, Ivory Coast’s Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly died in the city of Abidjan, according to a press release from the country’s presidency after having taken part in the Council of Ministers.
