Mrs Charlotte Osei, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission says special provision has been made for tactile jackets for ballot papers for voters with visual impairment to enable them exercise their franchise on the Wednesday polls.
Speaking in Accra at a press briefing, Mrs Osei explained that this was to enable them vote as independent persons.
“For all persons with disability and vulnerable voters such as pregnant women and the aged, we
have advised all our officers to give them priority to vote.
“So we would like to urge all voters to be patient at the polling stations and allow such persons to be assisted to vote before you,” she added.
Mrs Osei said as part of security measure, a total ban on the riding of motor bikes 400 meters away from polling stations.
