Michy has expressed her disagreement with Shatta Wale’s claim that she didn’t appreciate his efforts during their time together. During a recent appearance on the Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast, Shatta Wale mentioned that he put in significant effort to make their relationship work, but felt unappreciated by Michy.
He hinted at a contentious split, suggesting that unveiling the true reasons for their breakup could spark considerable controversy. “You see, Shatta Michy, she should understand that I loved her so much that I didn’t want to leave her. But she wasn’t appreciative of all that I did for her. I don’t want to delve into it because it’s a painful memory,” he shared during the podcast.
In response, Michy deemed Shatta’s remarks as completely unfair. “It’s all set-ups. When we decide to speak honestly, it won’t be easy. Everyone knows the background I came from before meeting him, so he shouldn’t be talking about appreciation at all. I took a significant risk by being with him, considering his situation. What woman would have taken the leap like I did?” she said in an interview with Nana Romeo.
Clearly frustrated, she added, “I can’t dedicate my time and energy to support someone just to be told later that I didn’t appreciate them. How many people would leave their comfortable homes to back him the way I did? I don’t want to dwell on this negativity.”
Michy emphasized that, after seven years, it’s time for both parties to move forward and stop blaming each other for the past. “After seven years, I think it’s essential for us to move on and put the blame game behind us,” she stated.
She also mentioned that she’s currently documenting her experiences and plans to share her story with the public soon. Shifting the focus to her personal life, Michy discussed the peace she has found in her current relationship, which she prefers to keep private.
“I’m seeing someone discreetly. I don’t want another public relationship; managing those comes with a lot of attention. Everyone has something to say,” she explained.
