The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Wing in Ayawaso Central has launched an energetic door-to-door campaign aimed at engaging local artisans, shop owners, apprenticeship and residents.
The campaign, led by the former parliamentary aspirant Hon. Abdul Razak Yakubu, is focused on bringing the party’s message of change directly to the community. Hon. Yakubu has joined forces with youth organizers to spread the vision of Ayawaso Central’s NDC agenda and the leadership qualities of former President John Dramani Mahama.
The campaign highlights Mahama’s commitment to visionary leadership and his promise to create a government dedicated to prosperity and inclusivity for all Ghanaians. Hon. Abdul Razak Yakubu, in a recent interview, emphasized the need to educate constituents on the NDC’s plans and to expose the inaction of the incumbent Member of Parliament, who has held his position for twelve years without meaningful development in the area.
He urged residents to vote for Hon. Abdul Rauf Tubazu, a candidate committed to driving change and development for Ayawaso Central.“We’re seeing very positive responses to our engagements so far,” Yakubu remarked.
“Starting Monday, we’ll be back on the ground with our door-to-door efforts, helping people understand that it’s time to vote for a candidate who will deliver real results. Hon. Abdul Rauf Tubazu and former President Mahama are prepared to bring impactful infrastructure and transformative policies to Ghana.”
Hon Yakubu underscored Mahama’s record of delivering quality infrastructure and progressive policies, promising that he will bring even greater transformation through plans like the 24-Hour Economy and initiatives designed to equip Ghanaians with skilled trades.
He concluded by encouraging all Ayawaso Central voters to support John Dramani Mahama who is positioned at number 8 and Hon. Abdul Rauf Tubazu positioned at number 3 on their respective ballots, to usher in a new era of leadership focused on improving sanitation, health, education, and reducing burdensome taxes. The Ayawaso Central door-to-door campaign is also supported by Abdullah Azorka, who explained the strategic focus on artisans and workshops, where the NDC’s National Apprenticeship Program is especially relevant.
The program, aimed at supporting mechanics, tradespeople, and other skilled professionals, is part of a policy-rich manifesto that prioritizes inclusive growth and solutions for unemployment.“John Dramani Mahama is focused on job creation, and the National Apprenticeship Program is central to that mission,” Azorka explained. “Our manifesto is not only inclusive but also practical, ensuring that every hardworking Ghanaian feels represented.
This campaign is our way of reminding the people that the NDC has solutions tailored to their everyday struggles and ambitions.”Azorka criticized the incumbent MP and government, citing harmful policies like the e-levy, betting tax, and COVID-19 levy, which he said have increased financial pressure on everyday .
Mr Azorka urged constituents to reject the incumbent MP and embrace a “fresh energy” with leaders like Mahama and Tubazu, who are committed to removing these burdensome taxes and delivering relief.“We need leaders who are sensitive to the needs of the people, who are competent, and who won’t add unnecessary hardship to our lives,” Azorka stated.
“This election is a chance to reset the country, end the incompetent leadership, and bring in the NDC to implement policies that foster real progress and prosperity.”
As the NDC continues its grassroots efforts in Ayawaso Central, their campaign highlights a vision for a better Ghana, grounded in responsive governance, opportunity for all, and the elimination of policies that impose undue hardship on citizens.
