“If you’re fortunate enough to leave this country please don’t come back – Captain Planet

The Ghanaian rapper, Captain Planet, has expressed his opinion that the youth of Ghana should not hold on to any sense of patriotism because he believes that the politicians in power do not have their best interests at heart.

He went on to advise them to take advantage of any opportunities to leave the country and seek a better life elsewhere. He urged them never to return to a nation where self-serving politicians only seek to enrich themselves and their families.

According to Captain Planet, Ghana’s politicians are accumulating wealth overseas at the expense of the people, and he has called on the youth to act quickly.

He posted on X page (formerly Twitter), saying:
“If you’re fortunate enough to leave this country please don’t come back. These leaders are only acquiring properties for their families & they don’t give a shit about you. Don’t die for this country in the name of being patriotic. Your future is not secured here. BE WISE”.

Ghana recently marked its 67th Independence Day with celebrations across the country on March 6. People showed their love for the nation by participating in various events during the centennial parade and reflecting on its progress through different political, social, and economic eras.

Despite this, Ghana’s economy is currently facing challenges, and due to the rise in commodity prices, the government is viewed unfavorably by many.

Many Ghanaians are concerned about how this will affect the NPP’s chances of remaining in power after the 2024 elections..
