Former Auditor General Daniel Yaw Domelevo is questioning the rationale behind the selection of private audit firm KPMG to audit the revenue assurance contract between the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Strategic Mobilization Ghana Limited (SML).
Mr. Domelevo insists the audit service is well placed to carry out the task.
The directive by President Akufo-Addo follows a documentary titled “The 3 Billion Lie” by the Fourth Estate alleging that a 100 million dollar annual contract awarded to SML for monitoring the petroleum industry is not only duplication but does not contribute to revenue savings.
