The act of cronyism, nepotism, vigilantism, and use of money to influence journalist and media houses is part of the New Patriotic Party culture and strategy to intimidate people and media house owners to do their bid, on any topical issues affecting the image of the party and the presidency.
The party has lost all the credibility and confidence imposed on them as the government in power, as a result of deception and lairs for the past seven years in power.
The National Democratic Congress communication team member Dela Edem, stated this on the Simpieso political show on Ahotor FM 92.3 in Accra.
He opined that the NPP as a party and the government hate demonstrations and picketing, hence, politically it puts the government in the wrong limelight.
Despite, the president and the NPP party benefiting from this civil democratic tool of demonstration and picketing in protest in the past, in winning power, going forward the government is using the police and political thugs to intimidate people.
He therefore calls on the NDC to rise up as a team and work for the party to fight this culture of hooliganism and intimidation and fight hard and win power for the party in comes 2024 elections.
He opined that the NPP government has failed Ghanaians and is not comfortable with people speaking on their ills in public.
Speaking on the same platform, Mr. Jeff Ashley a Social Activist, said he is disappointed in the NPP party’s acts of attacking journalists, and media houses in this current democratic dispensation.
The country Ghana has come of age to know the lairs and propaganda they use to win power, where the end result is bad governance and corruption.
