The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Of the Ashanti Regional commander DO3 Peter Addai has confirmed a fire outbreak within the Kumasi municipality without any casualties.
According to DO3 Peter Addai, said the fire outbreak occurred yesterday around 6:31 pm, and their timely intervention saved lives and properties.
Mr. Addai said the fire occurred in a story building with 13 rooms that house civilians and police personnel. At the time they got to the scene, they were able to confine the fire in the 3bedrooms.
In all, DO3 Addai said in the cause of their duty, one of their personnel got hurt but he is responding to treatment and noted that currently the cause of the fire is unknown but they have launched investigations into the outbreak.
