We should always put a business mentality behind our football teams – MP
The Western regional minister, Hon Kwabena Okyere Darkoa Mensah has revealed that the team owners should put behind business mentality in the course of running football teams
Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko made this revelation when the champions of Ghana Premier League 2022/23 Medeama Sporting Club visited him at his to present the trophy won.
In speaking to the directors, management, technical team, and the entire playing body, Hon Darko Mensah emphasized that in as much as they are running the football, they should attach business alongside.
“If you look at the exploit of the football fraternity from Samartex, to skyy fc to Medeama, there is something I have said consistently over a long period even before becoming a regional minister and one of them was that, we should put a business mentality behind the football teams we have in the Western Region.”
” ln fact if you access the exploit of Samartex and the champions Medeama, then I think we have to embark on such a wealthy course to enable the revival of traditional teams. We cannot continue to rely on past glory, we have to build our glory.” – he added
Hon Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of Medeama SC for an immense job done, the management, the technical team, and the entire playing body.
Medeama SC beenbecrownedned the champions of the just-ended Ghanaian premier league 2022/23 season and will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League campaign.
