Spokesperson of the Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Fred Forson has paid tribute to the family, Wife and Children of the late Christian Atsu.
The late Black Stars player Christian Atsu Twasam was laid to rest today, Friday, March 17.
A burial and thanksgiving service was held at the Forecourt of the State House at 9:00am before his mortal remains was taken to Dogobome in the Volta Region for interment.
There will be a family gathering later on Sunday, March 19 for the final funeral rites.
Friday’s service at the Forecourt of the State House saw family and friends including past and present Black Star players filed past the body.
Christian Atsu met his untimely death in February after a deadly 7.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Syriar and Turkey with the southern city of Hatayspor hardest-hit.
After 12 days of search, the Ghanaian footballer’s body was found under the rubble of his apartment.
His body was brought back to Ghana on Sunday, February 19 via Turkish Airlines.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 Fm’s morning show ‘Ade Kyi Mu Nsem‘ with host Citizen Kofi Owusu, Fred Forson said the death of Christian Atsu is painful and sad but he will wish the family well and will urge them to have faith in God.
