The formal black striker Yaw Preko has expressed that he is not surprised most of the countries, especially from Europe are struggling in the world cup due to the lots of games.
In the interview on Ahotor sports corner, he emphasized that playing the world cup during this period is very tough because the players overworked themselves. Playing league games, the champions league, and as well as world cup makes them tired.
” l think the load is too much on the players, no matter the familiarity or popularity that player is, the load on him is going to affect him when playing the match.
” The only person who can manage to play whiles there is a load on him is Messi. He walks into the park and people do see that but that is him and because he is a good player, no one substitutes him during the match but when another player does that, walks into the park, that person is been substituted, he said.
Players must be allowed to rest and prepare for the matches ahead of them to reduce the load on them and help them to perform better in their matches.
Yaw Preko is currently the head coach of the Olympics football club and waits for the resumption of the 2022/23 league.
