The Elders and members of the Kuronti Royal family has announced the destoolment of the Kurontihene of the Sunyani traditional area, Oboaman Nana Bofotia Boaponsem
According to the spokesperson for the royal family, Nana Boahen, the uncalled for attitude of the Kurontihene and distortion of historical facts are some factors that led to his destoolment
Speaking the media, Nana Boahen said, “it is expected of every leader to lead a life worthy of emulation and protect the cultural values of the council. It becomes so ridiculous to see a leader do otherwise”
They consider it a step in the right direction to destool him for his misconduct which they see as bringing disrepute to the kuronti stool
