The Deputy National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ako Gunn says, it will be very expedient to train children the way they should go so that when they grow, they will not see questions as provocative.
In a statement, he noted how he has always complained about the posture of the president, Nana Addo Danquah, so intolerant and thinks everything must be at his beck and call.
“Everyone must sing his praise and tunes like the late Eyàdema at a public function”.
He wondered why his handlers opens him up for the world to devour.
“Cant they appreciate his weakness?” he quizzed
Mr Ako Gunn commented on how we have been brought up as Ghanaians. He considers the way and manner we deal with the negative sides of our elders, the very things that can go a long way to affect us
“it’s even a taboo to say a leader is a liar”, this posture he said has affected many individuals including our media men in their line of duties
Sadly, he said, others have turn themselves into bunch of hypocrites and praise singers who only rely on such people to survive and so fail to speak truth to power
He therefore urged politicians to stop thinking brut and Frank questions comes from the opponents and that more difficult and hard questions are rather to bring the best out of someone.
His made this comments following the president’s interview with BBC on Focus Africa
