Chairman Ofosu Ampofo shuts Koku Anyidoho up, asked him to focus on his suspension and his subsequent appearance before the party’s disciplinary Committee

The National Chairman of NDC Hon. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has responded to comments in the media attributed to the suspended member of the NDC, one Koku Anyidoho.

Mr. Anyidoho is reported to have asked the former President Mahama who was also the flagbearer of the NDC in the 2020 elections to step aside for the Chairman of the party to take over.

Responding to Koku’s comments on Ahotorfm92. 3 evening political show , Chairman Ofosu Ampofo told Mr. Anyidoho to focus on his current suspension from the party because he is in no position to tell the NDC what to do as a party.

“We are all clear on the position of our constitution but President Mahama is the only living former president of our party, he wields a lot of influence, this is a man who won us over 6 million votes in the last elections, he remains relevant and we will continue to count on his goodwill and vast experience to thrive as a party, we extended same courtesies to Prof Mill when he lost the 2004 elections, we relied on him, worked with him, in fact he became the fulcrum around which the party revolved at the time until we won the 2008 elections and same courtesies apply to President Mahama. Koku Anyidoho has no power to tell us what to do, he should rather focus on his suspension and be quiet.”

Responding to the numerous calls from the foot soldiers to have both Anyidoho and his judas counterpart Allotey Jacob deleted from the party all together, Chairman Ofosu Ampofo said all their concerns have been duly acknowledged and noted, the party would consider same at the leadership level.
