The Queen mother of Yokomansah near Akim Swedru Ohemaa Gyanwaa is calling on the Ghana Police Service to cause the arrest of the Mmrante- hene (aka Maxwell) and prosecuted for the violence and the destruction to the palace and its properties and the inhabitants.
The palace of the Yokomansa Odikro has been vandalized with some on the members of the household attacked with machetes and gun shots.
Reports gathered indicated that, the gazette Odikro, Baffour Ampaw III who has reigned in the town for four (4) is being undermined by some faceless personalities causing crime to make the town ungovernable.
The suspected leader of the thugs, Mmrante hene known as Maxwell has on many occasions meted out violence with a group of about 30 thugs welding cutlasses, clubs with the leader- Mrantehene having a gun.
In an interview with Ahotor fm, Ohemaa Gyanwaa noted that, the thugs who attacked the palace physically harmed the household members.
Kojo Nkrumah, Obaa Nana, Dada were some of the violent ones among the group who threatened their lives.
In her narration, the Ohemaa said, they had to run for their lives abandoning the palace which were later locked by the assailants.
She said, some of the victims who sustained deep wounds were treated at the hospital.
Ohemaa Gyanwaa disclosed that, even though they have reported to the Oda Police, no arrest has been made putting their lives in danger.
They are therefore calling on the IGP to come to their aid.
Ohemaa Gyanwaa narrated the ordeal they went through.
