Elmina Sharks part ways with Yaw Acheampong


Central Region based Elmina Sharks Football Club have parted ways with head coach Yaw Acheampong following the club’s poor performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Acheampong, assistant coach Felix Aboagye and goalkeepers coach Nana Mbrah were relieved of their roles on the technical team on Thursday afternoon.

According to some sources, the coach has been at post for some time now without a running contract and some key players have also not been replaced after they left the club.
The club in an official statement read : 
“Elmina Sharks has parted ways with Head Coach Yaw Acheampong, Felix Aboagye his assistant as well as Nana Mbrah the goalkeeper’s trainer” 

“The club will like to thank them for their service to Elmina Sharks and wish them well in their future endeavours”

“The management will announce their replacements in due course”, the statement concluded.

Elmina Sharks are going through difficult moments in the ongoing league season and recently lost their two best players Benjamin Tweneboah and Benjamin Arthur to rival clubs in the second transfer window.
Sharks have just 17 points after match week sixteen in the premier league .
