Former National Organiser of Hearts of Oak National Chapters Committee (NCC) Mohammed Alhassan has laid blames on the board of the club for the happenings in the club and all the negative issues surrounding the club.
Having served in the capacity of a Deputy NCC organiser and raising the position of a National Organiser for more than two decades, Alhassan opined that since the flotation of shares ten years ago, the club has changed management, coaches , technical team and lots of players have passed through, yet, the club keeps on going backwards.
“We have changed management, coaches, playing body, CEO’s and administrative staff but the club hasn’t achieved anything in return. We only boast of president’s cup”
“In the last eleven years Hearts of Oak has changed virtually everything apart from the board. Am not saying the entire board is bad but need to be reconstituted. The board is a major problem”.
In the last seven days, coach Kostadin Papic, assistant coach Asare Bediako, goalkeepers trainer Ben Owu and Team manager Saban Quaye have all left the club plunging the club in disarray; a situation the ex supporters chief claims has never happened in the club’s history.
“Our coach, assistant, goalkeepers coach and team manager have all left the club in just one week. Is it not a disgrace, has this ever happen to Hearts before?” he asked in an interview on ahotor fm sports.
Hearts of Oak floated shares in 2011 and former board member Togbe Afede XVI became majority shareholder. Since then, the Phobians have not won any major trophy.
