Former eastern Regional Minister who also served an ambassadorial portfolio in the United Kingdom, during the erstwhile NDC Administration, His Excellency Emmanuel Victor Smith, has described President Akufo Addo as a leader with the most diabolic and epitome of a treacherous politician who do not mean well for the country, ahead of December 7th elections.
The outspoken stalwart of the NDC, and former Spokesperson to the Rawlings’ ( Ex President Jerry Rawlings) made the comments on Adekye Mu Nsem with Host Citizen Kofi Wusu on AHOTOR FM (92.3) on the sidelines of the breakfast program.
Mr. Smith concern and revelations comes after 38 days of completion of the Mass Voters Registration exercise, amid widespread violence, and accusations from both sides of the political divide ( NDC and NPP)
The former high commissioner, explained to AHOTOR FM, that he was amazed and taken aback when President Nana Addo openly stated publicly that, the registration process was largely successful and denied knowledge of any registration impasse.
Ambassador Smith, emphasized that, the lukewarm attitude by the government of President Akufo Addo has negatively impacted on the moral fire of the country, and called on discerning minds to rise to the occasion, and defend the sovereignty of the state, against the oppression and machinations by government.
Mr. Emmanuel Smith, furthered and noted that, recorded scenes from the just ended registration, could be likened to a dress rehearsal towards the 2020 Polls. A situation the NDC bigwig opined will not auger well for the country’s Democratic tenets, if government diabolic intent materialized.
He downplayed assertions by the NPP to the point that, the NDC is behind the numerous reoccurring violence which marred the national registration exercise, and prey the security agencies not to favor or shield anybody who would be caught by the law, and demanded a swift investigations and prosecution of all culprits who were endemic in such heinous crimes, against prospective registrants.
Mr. Smith, asserted and posited by attributing the Disturbances to President Nana Akufo and the unprofessional conduct of a section of the security agencies who are acting solely on orders by top echelons in government.
His Excellency Victor Smith, urge Ghanaians to reject the NPP administration, and President Nana Addo, since they have disappointed the good people of Ghana over their inability to develop the country close to 4 years, taken into cognisant about the numerous campaign pledges made by the New Patriotic Party during the 2016 general elections.
Mr. Smith fears the registration melee could get worse if prompt actions are not taken with the much needed attention, against perpetrators.
The registration exercise, saw ordinary citizens being manhandled by suppose soldiers who were dispatched to manned the territorial enclaves of the country, but ended up brutalizing persons who intended to partake in the exercise.
” I suspect the sort of military men we are seeing, are not real soldiers but these are invisible Forces in military uniform, and are going about terrorizing innocent Ghanaians” he noted!
The vociferous member of the NDC avowed that, the slow pace in Economic activities is a manifestation of a country of deceit and failure by the government of the day to provide suitable standard of living for the suffering masses.
