“If you can’t work just tell us and resign ” Chariman Ofosu Ampofo to NDC Parliamentary Candidates

Accra : The National Chairman of the NDC has served warning to all Parliamentary Candidates of the party to go down to their respective constituencies and monitor the ongoing voters registeration exercise.

According Chairman Ofosu Ampofo, there are numerous complaints coming from the constituencies concerning lack of visibility of some of the candidates in the constituencies.

He said this is a crucial moment for all Parliamentary candidates of the party to be present in their constituencies to work and monitor the ongoing exercise.

“All Parliamentary candidates must go to their respective constituencies and work, the complaints from the grounds are becoming too much. You must be visible to the people and those you cannot work should just tell us and resign” he stressed.

He seized the opportunity to commend the party’s executives in the Ashanti Region for their vigilance which led to the discovery of the EC’s attempt to inflate registeration numbers in the region and admonished all to do same. He also assured party supporters that the party has put systems and structures in place to monitor the exercise keenly.

Speaking to Kofi Citizen on Ahotorfm’s morning show dubbed The Thursday Class, Mr. Ofosu Ampofo revealed that the party’s national executives are currently on the grounds working with Regional and Constituency executives to ensure victory is secured in the upcoming December elections.

“I’m assuring all our supporters that the NDC is forming the next government come 2021 and I admonish all to work towards that “

Commenting on brutalities being unleashed on party faithful across the country, Hon. Ofosu Ampofo encouraged party supporters not to be intimidated but must endeavour to register because according to him, that is the only way to save Ghana from the hands of President Akuffo Addo.

He advised party supporters to protect their territorial integrity by forming groups to prevent the ongoing busing of aliens by the Npp into various constituencies to vote.
