The Health Ministry has assured its commitment to resolving the issues of locked-up drugs at the port by Friday.
This pledge comes after the coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) focused on HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria threatened to stage a protest if the prolonged deadlock regarding the clearance of essential Global Fund-donated health commodities at the Tema port persists.
These supplies include antiretroviral, treated net, and RDT kits that have been held up at the port since May 2023 and are vital for addressing prevalent diseases in the country
Head of Public Relations at the Health Ministry Isaac Ofei said the matter will be addressed promptly.
