STAY INFORMED ABOUT THE WEATHER CONDITION, THERE WILL BE MORE RAIN – GMA TO THE PUBLIC

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) has stated that the coastal belt of the country is currently experiencing the peak of the rainy season.
The Agency has forecasted more rains in flood-prone areas within the coastal belt and has called on the NADMO to relocate individuals in those areas.
Several parts of Accra were flooded on Wednesday after hours of heavy rains in the capital city.
Kaneshie First Light, Ofankor Barrier, Taifa Junction, and Madina Market were some of the places affected by the floods.
While there was heavy vehicular traffic in affected areas, some road commuters had a tough time maneuvering through floodwaters in other places.
The rains started at about 9 am in various parts and intensified through midday through to mid-evening and gradually impeded traffic flow.
The deputy director in charge of forecasting at the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) Joseph Portorphy advise the public to stay informed about the weather condition during this period.
