Ahotor News checks with some agencies which work closely with the Gender Ministry show that in some cases, there are delayed payments due to the Minister’s absence.
Why the Minister asked for the leave is not exactly clear but what may have prompted the Presidency to issue a statement on her absence might be the speculations by some Ghanaians about a TIK TOK video of the Minister singing that went viral which raised some eyebrows.
But in a statement from the Presidency signed by the Director of Communications Eugene Arhin said President Akufo-Addo has extended the leave of absence from office for the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection Sarah Adwoa Safo which was to have ended on the 31st August.
