The Black Satellites have progressed to the semi finals of the ongoing Cup of Nations in Mauritania after beating Cameroon on penalties on thursday.
The young lions took the lead through the son of legend Roger Milla, Kevin-Prince Milla and substitute Frank Boateng pulling parity for the Ghanaians all in the extra time after 90 minutes without a goal.
With penalties the only option left to separate both sides after the game ended 1-1, the Black Satellites cruised to victory with four penalties scored to the Cameroonians two.
Frank Boateng, Precious Boah, Frank Asinki and captain Daniel Afriyie Bernieh all scored while the young lions missed two of theirs.
Coach Abdul Karim Zito’s side are now close to win Ghana’s first gold since 2009 in Egypt.
