Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Hon. Barbara Serwaah Asamoah has warned the ruling New Patriotic Party to shelve any plans to intimidate the NDC and its members on December 7th, according to her, the NDC will not allow itself to be intimidated by various vigilante groups undergoing training at undisclosed locations under the instructions of certain persons in government.
Speaking on Ahotorfm 92.3 morning show with Citizen Kofi, she stated without mincing words, the National Democratic Congress and its members will not kowtow to any acts or signs of intimidation from anyone not even from the Jean Mensah led EC,. She said the party will remain vigilant until the results are collated and announced and she is with a firm belief that, H. E John Dramani Mahama will be declared the winner of 2020 elections considering how terrible the Akufo Addo led administration has managed the country.
She therefore called on party supporters and party agents trained to represent the party at various polling stations across the country to be extra vigilant and defend the interest of the party throughout the process.
She used the opportunity to appeal to Ghanaians to financially suport the 80,000 agents the party intend to deploy to polling centres on election day to police the electoral process for the party. She also revealed that the NDC will on Sunday roll out a mammoth fundraising ceremony at the Trade Fair, Event Centre in Accra in a bid to support the party’s mission to rescue the Ghana and Ghanaians from unprecedented corruption and state capture.
