I will campaign to break the 8 if I fail in Bekwai primaries- COP Alex Mensah

Parliamentary candidate hopeful for Bekwai constituency in Ashanti region COP (RTD) Alexander George Mensah has said that, if he is not successful in becoming the parliamentary candidate in Bekwai for the NPP in the upcoming primaries, he will campaign to break the eight-year cycle.

Speaking to the media in his campaigned, he indicated that, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) needs to stay in power to continue the good works for the betterment of the country.

According to him, the policies introduced by the current NPP administration has yield a good result for Ghanaians especially the Free SHS policy and needs to continue.

He indicated that, the opposition NDC cannot be trusted when it comes to free SHS because they may cancel the policy when they get the nod.

Maybe they have to explained to us what they’re going to review on the policy because I don’t get it, he added.

The immediate past Commissioner of Police is vying to become a Member of Parliament for the good people of Bekwai constituency as the NPP goes to the polls on January 27 to choose their candidates.

He is confident of carrying the day because of how he has spread his message to the delegates in the constituency.
