Accra Hearts of Oak battled Tano Bofoakwa to a thrilling 1-1 draw at the WAFA Park in Sogakope in the Ghana Premier League Matchday 20.
Accra Hearts of Oak playing home away from home looked lively in the early stages, pressing forward with determination and drew first blood through Salifu Ibrahim in the 23rd minutes by capitalizing on a defensive lapse to take the lead.
Undeterred by the setback, Tano Bofoakwa responded admirably, launching waves of attacks in search of an equalizer. Their efforts paid off as they managed to break through the resilient Hearts of Oak defense to level the score through Emmanuel Boateng Agyenim in the 54th minutes in the second half .
As the clock ticked down, both sides pushed for a winning goal, but stout defending and goalkeeping ensured the match ended in a draw.
Accra Hearts of Oak lies at 8th position with 28 points and will face CAF Confederations Cup participant’s Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu for the match day 21.
