The reality confronting the education sector in Ghana has to do with an effective harmonies policy from all the stake holders and parents to address the disagreement and setbacks we experience from COVID 19.
As we work to arrest the problem going forward to bring the Free Senior High School programme to previous academic calendar, stake holders must be realistic to come out with a policy that can help smooth migration to the old academic system.
Hon. Kwame Anyimedu Antwi said this on Adekyee Mu Nsem morning show on Ahotor FM 92.3 hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu in Accra.
The Member of Parliament for Asante Akim Central Constituency, Kwame Anyimadu Antwi and also the Chairman of the Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi said though parliament has step up to summon the Minister of Education on the placement and enrollment of new students to Free Senior High School seems to be rush calendar, he believes the decision by the house will help the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service to stand up to the challenges reoccurring every year which has to do with placement and opening of school for new students.
The Member of Parliament for Asante Akim Central Constituency, Kwame Anyimadu Antwi explained that maintaining the reporting date will enable the country to return to the normal September academic calendar system; and more contact hours for students will be assured this time round.
