Former Ghanaian football star Reverend Osei Kofi has claimed that Ghanaians pray against the Black Stars, Ghana’s national football team, in a surprising revelation that raises questions about the team’s support within the nation.
During an interview with the media, Rev. Osei Kofi who was once an Asante Kotoko player said, ”Currently because we have turned Professionalism upside down it has changed the face of Ghana football. Everyone is looking at advertising themselves. Now they are selling themselves and not Ghana. When we were going for the World Cup, how much did they take for the appearance fee? They took a hundred thousand dollars for appearance fees for doing what?”.
He added” Now, when they got there and Kudus had a contract, it was in the name of Ghana he had the contract, how much did Ghana benefit? So I’m telling you that people prayed against the Black Stars. We used 19 years from 1963, 1965, 1978, and 1982 to win four (4) AFCON cups. From 1982 up till now 41years. Every two years we go and waste money and resources so we are in debt. Spiritually, I’m telling you that Ghanaians pray against Black Stars”.
He said that regarding the Current State of the Black Stars. It could be recalled that the Blacks stars played against the United States where they were beaten by 4 goals to nil.
