THE BLACK PRINCESSES TRAVERSE IN GUINEA BISSAU AHEAD OF THE FIFA U20 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER

The Black Princesses, Ghana’s U20 female national team, arrived in Guinea Bissau ahead of the first round of FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

The squad landed in Bissau on Friday evening and stretched at their hotel before going for a walk through the town.

The team, dominated by players from the WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations, is anticipating an ideal start as Ghana prepares to return to the World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Black Princesses will be without prolific scorer Maafia Nyame, who relocated to Moroccan club AS Far. The striker cannot be made available for the two-leg showdown.

Yussif Basigi, on the other hand, will rely on Ampem Darkoa Ladies star Mary Amponsah to provide the goods for the squad. The first leg vs Guinea Bissau was held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, while this weekend is the second leg versus Guinea Bissau.
