Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng has resigned from the New Patriotic Party accusing the national executive committee and the national executive of being selective and hijacked by big weights within the party.
He said, from every indication, his sacrifice and dedication to the party over the years has not been appreciated, this he said deeply saddens him. He made these remarks when he announced his resignation at a news conference in Accra.
He also said leadership is a service to the people and not to lord it on them as has been experienced in the current political space within the party.
Meanwhile, Alan’s resignation has sparked some reactions from the public and some sympathizers of his followers as they shared their sentiments on the receiving of news.
Senior Lecturer at the Department of Research at the Center for Ancient Studies at the University of Legion, Prof. Alidu Seidu said “Alan’s announcement is very strategic in the sense that he is not using the vehicle of a political party”.
In all, an election pollster and the managing editor of the Daily Dispatch Ben Ephson said his expectation has been met.
