Shatta Wale has criticized Stonebwoy, stating that he is not a global sensation and his influence is limited.

Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale verbally attacked Stonebwoy in a viral video.

On August 24, Stonebwoy and Berla Mundi discussed the state of Ghana’s music industry in a live Twitter spaces conversation, focusing on the successful O2 arena concert by Nigerian artiste Asake.

When asked about the pressure on Ghanaian artists to achieve the same success as their Nigerian counterparts, Stonebwoy emphasized that such pressure would be futile without proper systems in place. He argued that the industry needs greater awareness and support to reach its full potential.

Shatta Wale, did not agree and claimed that Stonebwoy was under pressure to be like them so he dresses like Burna Boy and goes out of his way to attract attention. Shatta did not hold back in the video.

”When Stonebwoy was asked if he was feeling any pressure, he responded that he was not under pressure, but rather aware. However, it appears that he may be experiencing pressure based on his fashion choices and Instagram photos, which resemble those of Burna Boy. Additionally, it seems that he may feel pressure to perform on stage at the same time as Wizkid, as evidenced by his behavior at AutoNation Detroit. Despite being given a specific time to go on stage, he insisted on performing at his desired time.”

“You accepted a payment of $10,000 while Burna Boy received $300,000. You can’t expect to be treated as a significant performer. You’re just an opening act! You’ll never receive the same level of exposure as Wizkid, Davido, or Burna Boy!” he angrily stated.

Shatta Wale has previously expressed his views on his fellow musicians in the Ghanaian music industry. He faced criticism for his remarks after congratulating Asake on his O2 Arena performance and criticizing Ghanaian artists for not reaching the same level of success.
